Our key demands in the negotiations for your new collective agreement
It's time that our counterpart, the employers' organization Almega, clearly demonstrates that they are prepared to take responsibility for Sweden’s preschools, schools, and leisure time centers.

Investing in teachers and career guidance counselors is an investment in Sweden’s future. With the right conditions, we can give children and students the opportunity to succeed. Better conditions and terms for us are a good deal for Sweden.
In the negotiations on the Independent Schools agreement (Friskoleavtalet), we are demanding:
- Further strengthening of workload planning through national regulations on teaching hours, as well as time for preparation and follow-up work.
- That part-time employees who work overtime should receive the higher overtime compensation applicable to full-time employees.
- That the relative salaries of teachers and career guidance counselors improves during the agreement period in comparison to the rest of the labor market, and that contributions to flexible pensions continue to increase.
- That all fixed-amount compensations, such as compensation for unsocial working hours (OB-ersättning), be improved and brought in line with the industry benchmark ("Märket") – 3.4% in 2025 and 3.0% in 2026.
- That time for professional development be clearly defined in agreements for teachers and career guidance counselors across all school types and educational settings.
We are exchanging demands with Almega today, June 3rd. Negotiations with the counterpart will take place in August.
The Independent School Agreement expires on August 31, 2025.
